Default thoughts on long tube headers w/ single cat

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/611780/1

wondering if the long tube headers with a single cat (at the bottom of the page linked above) would be better than headers and twin high flow cats..

Wow, those parts look nice. Who makes them?
The muffler look like a unit for a RX-8?

seems like they did a comparison versus a test pipes and stock manifold setup and this came out about 9ps higher..

If the CAT is placed that far from the exhaust prot, the Catalyst will not be hot enough to work effectively. Hence the reason OEM uses twin CATs placed as close as possible to the exhuast mani.
Also done to reduice CAT light up time from cold start.
So , if you're rendering the CAT partially ineffective (most likely in violation of local emission laws) , one might ask why not delete the CAT altogether. Just a thought. Side note : it def would vilate CARB law in Cali. If you don't like the CAT delete RASP noise , use a resonator.
