Default I got one.

I have one and I love it. Great sound. Not to loud but gives me a great take off sound and growls when really wound up.

Best $100.00 I spent on the car.

Just had my tips cut off my old muffler and mounted to the flowmaster. It would be hell going back though. If you are conservative like me, then put out an WTB ad for an OEM muffler or get one from ebay. I paid $5.00 on ebay and $50.00 shipping for mine. Then put one in the basement and cut the one on my car.

I get a lot of looks because of it. Much better than stock.

Good Luck.

i had the flowmaster on my cobra mustang and loved it, so i was seriously planning on getting it for my z too. a forum member was supposed to send me a sound clip of his z so that i could decide if i liked the sound or not. he never got around to it, so i ended up buying the fujitsubo and will have it installed tomorrow.

if it is the stock mid pipe, then it is stock #42583. that is with the single 2.5" inlet with dual 2.5" outlets.

flowmaster 80 pdf file

i am still curious as to what it sounds like on a z.

It definately sounds deep now... I wish it had a gurgle to it though. Above 3k rpm it sounds crazy...

I'm thinking about doing the flowmaster 80 too but I'd like to hear it first, got any sound clips?
The clips I've found using the search no longer work

I had it way back before there were any cat-backs for our cars. (Nov 02) Used the one from a f-body, I believe the part number listed above is correct. It was the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard. Sounded similar to the audi lmp racecars. unfortunately, the y-pipe they made me sucked and I lost power due to it, so I replaced the whole thing with a borla dual. I know the last guy recommended it, but there is no comparison. I am eventually going to cut out the borla muffler from the dual ssytem and replace with a 2in 2out flowmaster. Used to have a video on 350zfrenzy, but it got taken down a long time ago and my computer has crashed and lost all my archive footage and photos, unfortunately.
