Question any new news on the kinetix v.4 plenum ?

its been a month or so since ive seen any posts regarding the kenetix v.4 plenum... seems like people arent having as many issues with the previous versions..... so here's my questions, how many miles have you driven with the v.4 and do you think this one is the real deal... or should i wait for the other plenums as discussed by other members of the forums...

thanks

I have had my V4 on for about 2 months and put on about 3500 miles. I have run 6 runs at the drag strip as well as 3 AutoX events. Each autox event had 5 runs so thats 15 autox runs in all. I have also hit my rev limiter several times and run well over 120 mph several times. With all of this, I have not seen any evidence of a crack or other problem with mine. There have been some documented imperfections in the molding process, but these have not caused any problems. It is beginning to look like the V4 just might be the real deal!! I know there are several Vortech systems that are running this plenum and I havent heard any problems out of theirs either.

My V4 is doing extremely well! I am one of those with a Vortech SC. TS did the "L" Flash. Max POWER = 324 Max TORQUE = 308.

Go with it, it's got the best cross-section of looks, power and price.

Just installed the v4 for the first time ever. I made sure to not overtighten the 12 bolts. Just started the engine for 30 seconds to make sure no leaks. Everything appears to be ok. There was a little smoke from the drivers side, could that have come from the fuel line that runs to the throtle body, i disconnected the hose below the spark plugs. The smoke scared me a little. Also, it sure sounds different, you really can hear the air rumbling in the plenum, is this normal?? Quite a bit louder than the stock plenum.

Just checking.

30 runs at the track on ONE day 3-4 weeks ago...no problems.

(1) 4 hour trip today, no problems.

I'm feeling pretty good about it.

I had mine installed by StreetImage (Baldwin Park) due to the delicate nature of the plenum. You can call Eric at 626-962-1503.

It is real simple, take your time, don't use any gasket akheasive. Make sure not to over tighten the bolts, go buy a torque wrench for $35 and tourque the plenum bolts to 8ft lbs.

Anyone having a problem with the electric fan coming on more frequently with the new plenum??????????????
