Prior to each of the two trips to Autotech dyno, i filled up with Arco (don't laugh!) 91 octane at same gas station by my house and then drove directly to dyno.

Also, how soon did you redyno? While I don't have any evidence to back this up, I'm pretty certain the Z likes to pull timing when theres a sudden change in A/F. Takes some miles (maybe 100?) and some on/off cycles for it to settle. I noticed this every time I made a change on either side (intake/exhaust).
I'll find a way to upload the charts. I did my first 4 pulls on Sat, 8/28 with the kinetix cats, and then re-dyno'd 3 days later, 8/31, like 5 minutes after i had my stock cats reinstalled. What does it mean "to pull timing"?

So you are already at that A/F with the stock cats, and that might be why you are making more power with the stock ones!
13.1 is high? That's not what i get from other posts re a/f.

It has never happened with our cats before, but I know it was a problem with the RT cats.

Give me an email at jamisonl@msn.com with original order info and I can have a new set sent out. I can send you a new set with a return shipping label for the old ones so you wont have any down time.
Would a collapsed cat result in a lean condition?

It would seem that you and many of the other guys would have been running leaner than Matt--you have more airflow mods.

The ECU senses that the engine might be running too lean and it retards the timing slightly. This will reduce your power output. After awhile (100 miles or so) it adapts to the new airflow as best it can (within its parameters of adjustment) and adds more fuel and also adjusts back to a more advanced timing. Power then increases. Other guys might be able to explain it better, but those are the basics, I believe.

Yeah Steel Heals had Plenum, DC headers, HF cats (Kinetix), Borla Trued Dual and POP Charger and did not have as high an A/F ratio as Z Boy

Are you guys posting your dyno charts someplace? That would be excellent.

The thing is, i had the kinetix cats on since June, plenty of time to adjust.

Since Isdunique is offering, I'm gonna exhange my questionable cats for a pair of new ones. Anyone want to buy 'em off me? I'm really liking the quieter exhaust note with the stock cats.

Just rec'd my new cats today. Thanx, Kinetix, for your lightening-fast response! Now, anyone interested in some brand new h/f cats for $350 shipped? I've decided to stay stock plenum-back.
