Default Our New y-pipe with pics, and some updates.

Here are a couple pics of our new y-pipe. Look in the group buy section because we are doing an initial offering with some savings.

Full stainless, its not polished. Bolts right up with stainless flex sections. Main benefit to our y-pipe over others is that it matches perfectly with factory mid sections and cat pipes.

It has (2) 2.25" pipes running into the y section with a single 2.5" outlet. Other y-pipes on the market have dual 2.5" pipes or they run single 3" outlets which dont match up at all with cats or factory mid sections.

This causes turbulence when your y-pipe has a 3" outlet, but goes into a 2.5" midsection. So even though it bolts up, doesnt mean it MATCHES up.

This is a direct replacement to the factory y-pipe. We also have a small cool looking brace to help with long term stress and cracking.

** updates on our other stuff. Expect new pricing on our hi-flow cats and resonated pipes, about $20 cheaper.

** our new manifold is on its way, though we may have made a switch in production process, but expect some news in about 10 days, with hopefully some pics.

** we have gotten much better in terms of phone communication, and also orders generally ship now tihin a few days, as opposed to a few weeks (used to be the case a couple months ago)

great work!

any dyno charts w/ just your y-pipe?

I'd be interested in finding out the A/F ratio after installing these

We have some initial dyno tests from a little while ago that showed some good results.

Realistically, dont expect 10hp!! with a y-pipe. You will see about 3-6hp.

We generally let customers support our claims with independant dynos.

Are we talking about the aluminum manifold? and what do you mean by a switch in production process?

If it is the aluminum manifold, I'm very much interetsed, and would like to have more information, if you would please elaborate.

Thanks,
Az

Default Kinetix Ypipe

So this Y-pipe is for those who wish to keep their stock exhaust?

People will most likely be offered some form of upgrade, as we always try to take care of loyal customers. Keep in mind though is that it is not as replacement for the V4 plenum, but is a completely new product that replaces the entire intake manifold, both upper and lower.

The y-pipe is perfect for use with factory exhaust, but will also work great with any aftermarket exhaust that bolts up to the factory y-pipe.

Well, the changes being made to the manifold will make it a better overall product, but we are trying to keep it in the same price range.

How much of a upgrade are you guys leaning towards for going from the V4 to this?

And what is the advantage from going to this one compared to the V4. Will we see any additional HP or just stronger for F1.

Thanks again and the V4 is holding up great

Likewise

I love my V4 ... I thought you meant that you were gonna make an aluminum version of it .... that I would want for just some added security

no, in all honesty the aluminum manifold will most likely give less NA power.

It was originally planned for strictly FI, but we are trying to pull something NA so we can open the market up to everyone, not just the FI guys.

we updated our pricing on the y-pipe to be more competitive.

Also, we will be in the near future offering all of our suspension products with a polished finish!! does not change performance, but looks cool. Most likely it wont be an upgrade, but rather standard with all our suspension arms.

*** I have read about many y-pipes where people ask if they match the factory pipe sizes, and get responses that they "bolt up fine" but make sure you check that the sizes match up!!

most other y-pipes have a single 3" outlet which does not work well with the factory mid pipe. ours is a single 2.5"
