Default Cold Air Intakes

I searched around and read some reviews on CAI's and pop-chargers. At the Teckademics event at MIR on sunday, we were running 14's consistently with the CAI but at Capitol raceway on test and tunes we were hitting 13.8's before we had it. We think we lost some power with the CAI. Could a heat shield or heat resistant wrap around the upper part of the tubing help performance. We have the AEM CAI. Does the Injen intake offer better performance than the AEM or should we grab a JWT pop-charger?

Yup, the AEM is where you F***ed up, Their Intake for This car, SUCKS.

Ive heard Good things about Injens' CAI, and the POOPcharger is good, I just dont care for their filter element. Poor Quality IMO.

I'd say go with a K&N Intake or the JWT Pop charger =)

I have the Injen and would recommend the K&N. If you really want an Injen I would sell you mine. But we sell both K&N and Injen and I have a sale on the K&N.

So which produces the most power? The only other mod we have are some Helix test pipes.

Why not customize an intake with a K&N filter? Gains more than the popcharger, and is more efficient at "FILTERING" to boot. Im not sure what the gains are with the Injen though.......here are a couple thread if youre curious....https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=91260
