Default cold air intake question

hey guys, how much difference does a CAI make on a modded car? in terms of airflow, hp, etc...what exactly is the temp of incoming air difference between a stock intake box compared to the nismo CAI, AEM CAI, etc...because i have descovered a way to make air really really cold without the use of a pipe extending to the bumper, and its not using any type of cryo bottle like the ones on ebay, or using any kinds of foreign air, water to cool the air, thus not needed to refilkl. this idea uses a solid non mechanical technology to cool incoming air...it can even possibly used on an intercooler to further decrese the air temp going into the throttle

so does anyone have any idea? or better yet..anyone interested? i am even willing to buy someone's stock intake to make prototypes. thankx!

I don't have any empericle data on temperature drop, but I have an Injen CAI which I insulated to prevent heat soak from the engine bay. I did have my car dynoed with it and a cat back exhaust and it definitely picked up horsepower. I guess I would have to say that the theory is definitely sound. The more cool air you can move through an intake the better. I think most CAI's are based upon those two principles. They not only move the intake out front to avoid heated air from the engine bay, but they also seem to be less restrictive. As far as cooling, there does not seem to be any question but that it helps, especially on a FI motor. Just look at the improvement gained by using an aquamist or intercooler spray system. I'm curious as to what your approach is. I'm guessing it's air conditioner based, or possibly based on those peltier units used in some of the nicer "ice chests." Feel free to pm me with your idea. I have a box that is presently sitting on a shelf. Maybe we could put it to good use.
I've got a stock box
