This may just be a coincidence, but I believe we set up a dealer account with Unlimited Tuing, and the only thing they bought was...hmm a set of test pipes with resonators. This was about maybe 6 weeks ago.

It is very hard to stay competitive forever, especially with outsourcing manufacturing to China and the likes.

Generally you see these types of things start to come to market a year later than the originals. You see this with companies like OBX, etc.

It does make it very hard to compete in the long run, so we generally like to focus on customer service, etc. to try and build brand loyalty.

test pipes may be only test pipes , but dont forget that these are resonated test pipes ... most of the pipes on the market ( except Kinetix ) right now will give you that raspy sound at 3000-3500 rpms , these will not.. .

yep - they look EXACTLY like my Kinetix ones... just polished... it's one thing if you know it's a copy and they tell you it's a copy, but it's a whole other ballgame when companies start trying to pass off something as original when in actuality it isn't...

take Pro-1 for example, the headers I just bought are actually marketed as Fujitsubo copies that are compatible with LHD cars (Fujitsubo's are for RHD cars ONLY) - they tell you they are copies, but they actually tweaked them a little, so in actuality they are original pieces... but they are still straight forward with you

Well, not saying that these are the hard facts, but I just find it slightly upsetting because they ordered the set of pipes under the pretense that they would be a dealer of our products and would be selling these for us, so we even gave them dealer pricing.

That would not be cool, if that is the case.

lsdunique - it is a coincidence , and I dont want to get into this now...
fyi these are not made in China

bwzabodyn - did you expect that the new pipes will look different ? they all look the same or look similar - same thing with the Y-pipe , same thing with many car parts ..

the y-pipe on my GReddy exhaust looks NOTHING like any other y-pipe out there, so to say that they are all going to look the same is ridiculous...

compare the LaBree Motorsports resonated test pipes to the Kinetix test pipes... big difference (see - Kinetix isn't the only other manufacture to produce resonated test pipes) - now look at the Kinetix and the UT resonated test pipes... can you tell the difference?

Sorry if I'm sounding like a d!ck, but I really have been happy with the Kinetix products that I've purchased and it bums me out to think that someone is blatantly copying their stuff under false pretenses...

one more time , I dont want to get into this and I wont get into this .. Your Pipes were ordered for one of the customers , if you visit the site Unlimited Tuning , you will notice , that other companies products are also available and not only UT products..

Dear All,

We would like to assure you that our test pipes are not a replication of the Kinetix pipes.
They were in fact being developed in conjuction with our Y-pipe and (in the works is) the rear section of the exhaust system.

Many products on the market may look similiar, but not all act/performs or are constructed the same. Unlimited Tuning's products are manufactured with the highest quality material. We do extensive R&D and comparative testing/analysis (against other manufacturer's products) to provide what we believe are the ultimate products out there.

The test pipe will be available in 3wks and we'll be gathering a group buy soon.
Pricing soon to follow.

Thank you.
