Default Pop Charger question

I recently installed a pop charger on my car and was running great for two days without any problems. This morning when I go and start the car the car idles rough and engine just shuts off. When driving throttle response is really slow and engine misfires. Anyone have any suggestions what I did wrong. Any adivce would be appreciated. Thanks.

try doing the TS ECU reset procedure. Should do the trick.

or if you dont mind reprogramming your radio stations, you could do it the N00b way lol, disconnect the Negative on the battery and reconnect.

Anyone think it could be a blown MAF sensor?

I have had some experiance in installing pop chargers,cold-air intakes and such, not on a z though. If you mishandled or dropped the MAF it could be damaged. Just my two cents.

Yeah, sounds like a damaged MAF to me too... If it is, you'll know when the ECU reset doesnt work. If it works, your all set.

G'Luck.

The 24 hour disconnect thing is SUCH a waste of time to accomplish something you can do in about 2 minutes with the ECU reset procedure. Don't waste your time. Print out the ECU reset off the TS site and take it out with you so you can reference the sequence. It's not difficult at all, and you can't screw it up. If you don't get the timing right, nothing bad will happen, period.

I'm absolutely 100% certain. After my GReddy EVO2 install, I got an SES light a few times before I identified the problem. I must have done the ECU reset about 20 times before I finally got it right. Didn't hurt a thing. When I got it right, the ECU reset, and the car is just fine. Don't worry about it..

Oh, and PumpedVA, here's the link:

I believe you are correct. You send them your ECU and it comes back flashed.

I thought about it, but I have plans for F/I next summer, and I'm not sure if the ECU Flash and the ECU piggyback that's part of the F/I kits are compatible.

That's cool, but what a PITA to have to send your cars brain in for a week. Guess I need to learn a little more about this whole ECU thing.
