So cool but... 1100 bucks is steep even if it is the whole manifold and not just a plenum top. This kind of stuff has to get cheaper some day.... right??

I am thinking forced induction only.

I would be interested, but I am definitely not going to be the first to try it. Especially not for $1100!

The fact that I have not seen anyone post a pic of it on their cars here makes me think that it is "available" but not for sale...*cough* Dreamworkes *cough*

Generally a shorter runner intake like the SSR will move the RPM band up and lose low end torque. FI cars tend to like shorter runners.

Why do some people think you will lose low end power with this manifold?

With a shorter runner the airflow velocity is decreased and hurts low end torque......but helps with higher rpm airflow. They use this principle in some of the Honda intake manifolds. They are a dual stage which uses a long runner tube at lower rpm and then opens butterflys when they hit Vtec to switch to shorter runners. This helps with more power in low and high rpm's.

I have seen this on two different cars here in San Diego. They have said that it is for FI. It looks nice, but most of us are not FI so it is not an attractive mod. It has its price niche ... and those that want it will pay for it.

I'd like to see flowbench numbers that show even airflow across all cylinders. This is less of an issue with forced induction, but still..

Also, all the pictures are on a G35 with no strut tower brace. I'd also like to know if the brace will fit over the manifold. It looks like it may fit.

they have two versions one for the Z and one for the G. The one for the Z does fit under the strut brace. Anyone in SD still have the pics? It was about a month or two ago at our Tue GTG that we saw it.

If I recall right ... the one for the G was shorter b/c the Z one didnt fit under the hood. Anyhow, like MIA said, you cannot use the stock bar with this.
