Question Plenums-Kinetix vs. Crawford

I just got done ordering my Nismo Cat back Exhaust, UR Crank Pulley and JWT Popcharger but I want to finish it off with a Plenum and High Flow Cats (and an 04 Technosquare ECU when its out). Is Crawford really worth all of the extra money or is the Kinetix Plenum/High Flow Cat package a good deal? I know you have to order a new strut brace with the Crawford.

I chose Kinetix because of price, not having to replace the strut bar, looks (I actually like the black look) and reputation for outstanding customer service. Highly recommended.

That with the NISMO headers sounds sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. It was really loud at first, but it has mellowed out a bit in a week. Sounds very deep and aggressive, especially in higher RPM. It is surprisingly quiet at cruising (around 2K rpm and below).

The intake/headers/exhaust combo gave it a deeper growl, but what really cranked it up was the plenum. The cats just put it over the top in terms of sound to the point I was a bit worried I was sounding like an 18 wheeler, but since it has mellowed a bit I am really growing to like it. It is not tinny sounding, it is deep and serious.

Headers will be in the near future but for now i am going to stay with this. Are the power gains very noticable? I ordered the Crank pulley so I will have your exact setup except for headers.

Justin - I wish you could have made it to the Tail of the Dragon a few weekends back.

We all try to get up there a few times a year JUST to hang out, and then once a year for ZDayZ (big Z event)!!!

This past trip there was maybe 10 350Zs??

Lots of Crawford parts... no Kinetix. Couldn't figure it out.

Huge difference...

Crawford is the ONLY vendor who can make this claim through in house testing, and through its customers - 20 hp peak, and near 40 hp at redline by adding the package onto a stock car.

Crawford definately looks very nice but the price is higher and it requires a new strut brace. However, if the performance gains and quality are that much better, then i would go with Crawford.

Whats the deal with warranty issues? Would I need to swap out the plenum before i went to the dealership?

Know where I can find a dyno plot of the said 20hp gain and 40hp gain Z? ... preferably ones that are independantly tested.

Thanks,
