slightly biased, but I think the GReddy EVO II is the way to go - aggressive looks, great sound quality (big selling point for me), and noticiable gains (not really dyno-tested on N/a yet - but I added the EVO II and swapped out the Helix Test Pipes for Kinetix Resonated Test Pipes - supposedly a couple less HP - and dynoed 6 more HP to the wheels and 7 more TQ)

If you are not into the look of the GReddy, the then Stillen True-Dual is the way to go...

Get the Borla, if you like the stock sound with a slightly deeper note, and 12hp gains. Don't get the Injen, your car will sound like a fart can, a 1995 honda civic with a 4 inch tip.

I don't understand why more people aren't into the Stillen. It has the best performance gains in both hp and tq and sounds awesome. This was a no brainer for me in my decision. I guess everyone likes the borla better because it produces similar gains and it is significantly cheaper???

I think many people are tired of stillin's crappy customer service. Sure their exhaust is nice, but who wants to support their lack of support when problems arise. All of us z32 guys took the brunt of the crappy customer service and are bitter lol.

I'm leaning towards the Nismo. What are the hp gains again?

The Stillen does look and sound nice. Does produce a few more ponies, BUT.. the added 20lbs just cancels everything. Why add weight?

I have been ecstatic with my Invidia . . . looks great, sounds great and it bolted in under 30 minutes (professionally).

Bat,
The horsepower gains are said to be around 6 to 8 hp to the rear wheels. Torque is somewhere around 4 to 5.
I am thinking of getting a nismo catback setup from jeff sometime with in the next two months.
I think nismo is the way to go. It looks SexEh and sounds good.

I noticed no low end power loss with any of the exhausts I have had on my car yet

Just put my NISMO on. I do not have any experience with the other exhausts, but I love the sound of the NISMO, however, it is louder than I thought it would be between 3K - 4K rpms. Deep throaty sound when running through the gears. When idling or crusing, barley noticable difference from stock, unless you are crusing like me, at 75 to 85 mph, then it is slightly louder than the stock system. Makes other drivers look when you are passing while accellerating.

Another vote for the nismo exhaust. I couldnt be happier and the install was super easy and the sound just rocks.

Had a Borla on my Z for about 13months so far. I love the sound, but design is a little too much plain and people can't tell if it's an aftermarket exhaust. For some people, it's a plus but for me, it's a minus. And too many pipe connections--> more prone to exhaust leak. I was waiting for some better looking TD exhausts and now it seems like new Invidia G200 is the choice for me. I'm not into the hype of TD exhausts, but buying another Y-pipe for other non-TD catbacks were additional expense to me and I just didnt' want to do it. Invidia G200 has a Ti tip, which I LOVE, and the quality looks great. Gonna get it next spring.

Dude go with the NISMO. Not to be redundant as others have already mentioned some of this but the NISMO has all of the following advantages:

1) Beautiful exhaust with laser etched logo (even the catalic converter is shiny)

2) Fits perfect. No bending or forcing during installation. It is very well designed.

3) Great sound. At idle and 70mph it sounds stock but put your foot in it and you get a deep growl that turns heads.

4) Good HP gains. Even though I have not dynoed my car since the installation to get the actual gains, the "butt" dyno says there is a difference.

5) NISMO, NISMO, NISMO

Enough said!!!
Z Ya!

I don't live in CA, but since the exhaust comes after the catalyic converter and has absolutley no effect on emissions whatsoever, how can it have anything to do with CARB. That's like saying your brakes need to be CARB certified? Someone please explain.

HMm i will be in the market for an exhaust in the spring and it seems sooooo hard to choose one. This thread just confuses me. Does anyone have any dyno's to back up these claims? I'm eventually planning to go with some type of FI so i want an exhaust that will yield good gains with supercharger or turbo. Seems like borla and nismo are the most popular...darn this is confusing.
