AEM should look into it as the auction makes it sound like they are AEM, which is a little funny when you look at previous auctions by the same person and they have sold golf clubs and sandals!!!

I don't think I will at this time, a gain of 5 horses is almost negligable, as well as the 6 from the exhaust, I think I will wait until somthing substantial comes out which the only thing could be the ECU, if the rumors are true and this will give up to 320 that would be worth the money, then I might consider the exhaust and CAI which might give more with a modified or reprogrammed ECU.

I know the Turbo will yield a lot more but will also be alot more $ and I think I will wait a while to see what the impact on the engine is of running a turbo on it.

The borla exhaust is rumored to add about 8-10 RWHP, the AEM intake is 5-6HP @ the wheels... What does that mean? That means you're adding anywhere between 18-24 total flywheel HP your Z... So we're talking about somewhere around 310HP with both. Price? Probably about 500 for the exhaust, and the 240 for the intake. I bet both mods together will drop the 0-60 by about .1 or .2 seconds and the 1/4 by .2, but more importantly midrange and top end will benefit incredibly. The only concern I have is that the Nismo chip coming out next year won't work with aftermarket intakes (only w/ the Nismo intake) as aftermarket ECU's are calibrated very specifically.

Oh yes, the borla exhaust should be out any time in the next week- 2 weeks, the AEM intake according to AEM will be out in 4-8 weeks.

Is Nismo going to come out with an intake or will the ECU assume the stock intake? If the concern is there with the aftermarket intake would it also be there with the aftermarket exhaust?

Although I would get my hopes up that the Borla exhaust is going to be 500, the Borla exhaust for the 300ZX currently lists at 932 on the Borla site and you can find it on parts sites for 750. So at the beginning when supply will be short I would expect to pay close to Borla list until parts suppliers have an abundance plus competitors. I would expect Borla to list the 350Z exhaust around the same maybe down to 800 but not much less.

Well, I don't know if I would compare pricing on the 300zx Borla exhaust to what it will cost on the 350z.....the big reason is that the aftermarket comings (& Nissan) our expecting big production numbers unlike the 300zx had. I mean the B&B exhaust for my previous 95 Z32 TT was around $1500, but the one for the 350z is in the $800-900 range. That's a pretty big price difference.

I think we should see lower prices for mods to the 350z than what we have seen for the 300ZX (of course except for FI).

Just my 2 cents.

In addition to that, the exhaust system of the Z33 is a bit less complex than the one on the Z32 TT (Which was the 1000 dollar exhaust from borla).
