Default Plenum Question, (probably played, i know)

Ok guys, time for a plenum for my z. Performance wise, what are the differences that people have noticed between the kinetix and the crawford v5 plenums? Money doesn't matter to me, so long as I get a good fitting, working plenum. Does the crawford v5 fit with the stock strut bar (I actually have a JIC one), and can you use the stock or CF engine covers to fit with the crawford?

As far as the kinetix, it still can use the stock bar and engine cover right? I am not planning on running forced induction at all in the future, so will the kinetix plenum hold up without cracking etc.. I am planning on running cams etc.. in the future, and perhaps modifying the compression of the motor on a future (way in the future) buildup.

Lastly, how does the kinetix plenum hold up to repeat removal and installation, for example if I were to put cams in after the plenum etc...?

I've done a search and found some answers to these questions, but I'd rather hear it all at once from various experiences.

Thanks for the look and the help!

I have the Crawford V5 plenum. Fit is OEM, as it's derived from the OEM Plenum. You'll have to forego your JIC bar, as well as the CF cover. These will not fit on the V5 as is. The cover can be fitted with some custom cutting.

From your post, I gather that you'll be more happy with the Kinetix, as you'll be able to retain your JIC bar and CF cover. Performance wise, they're about the same, IMO.

I know the Kinetix will work with the stock bar, but I seem to remember from earlier posts, that the JIC wont fit. I believe it's too wide. Can someone confirm?

The engine cover will fit with the Kinetix, and needs to be cut to work with the Crawford.

I have about 4000 miles on my Kinetix V4 with Vortech FI. NO problems! Had to modify the engine cover for FI, but you would not have do if you are planning to stay NA. Also, you will not be able to use you JIC, but could still use you OEM stock bar!.
