Default Headers ruining or burning out sensors?

I was at the dealership today getting my oil done, and i got to talking to a tech to pass the time. He had mentioned to me not to do headers like the nismo headers, because they are not ceramic coated. He said that the headers if not coated, end up burning out or ruining the sensors that are located closer to the headers, due to the excess heat generated. It sounded kinda bogus to me. And personally, i'm no fan of ceramic headers, had many bad excperiences with the honda camp in the past and ceramic........

Any info on this, or anyone have any issues?
