I've never heard of one that does. You could modify the stock one to do it tho if you cut it with a dremel.

I did come across a guy who said he was selling some custom engine covers. I PM'd him (from this forum, I believe) but he did not get back to me. So...I'm not sure. Seems like a possible market there for a plastics molding person. Hmmmm.

DaveO

Is the tube to the left of your filter housing, (in front of the engine cover) custom made?

Do you have more pictures of your engine bay posted anywhere? I'd love to know what all you've done to the intake.

Dave,

Here's another picture of my engine bay. You can pretty much see everything I've done to the intake from the two pictures I've posted. Perhaps a little explanation may help.

First thing, my car is a G35 Sedan not a 350Z.

(Monsta - I believe the "tube" you're referring to is the stock G35 "Air Duct - Inlet").

My intake mods are as follows...

1) Stillen CAI - Modifications to it include thermal insulation, an "open end" JWT Popcharger Air Filter and the radiator core support opening.

2) 350Z "Air Duct" - Thermally insulated to reduce underhood heat soak.

3) Crawford V5 Plenum - Externally powder coated & internally polished.

If your interested, two other mods can be seen in these pictures.

1) GroundingGear System.

2) Electric radiator fan. (Until recently, G35 AT Sedans have an engine driven radiator fan.)

Feel free to PM me if you need additional information.

Thanks DaveO. I actually ran across some stuff in a thread about insulating the K&N Typhoon intake that you posted in that clued me in to some of the details.

I'm thinking of going with the Crawford Plenum but was worried about the noise? I had a Kinetix v4 and had no problems but it was very loud on the inside of the car..
