hey guys. today while changing my tranny fluid i notiiced our cats is kind of a double layer. basically its the cats w/ some kind of heat resistant foam and an outer layer of steel clamped tightly together. does the 2nd layer of foam and steel act as a vibration damper? cuz the rasp of test pipes comes from the thin tube used correct? what if we can duplicate the stock design and make our own damper of some kind and get rid of the rasp? thanks! just an idea

what are inline resonators? sorry for the newb question, but i know what resonated test pipes are but are the inline resonators like an additional piece? thanks
Test pipes with resinators from La Bree motor sports 818-704-7950 The only test pipes with resinators that never give off raspiness. 375.00 delivered price used to be 450.00
Ill have to diagree with poizon, my kinetix testpipes do not let ANY rasp through........in no way am I saying la bree products aren't good, I'm just saying that as far as resonated testpipes, there are other qaulity products out there as well......
Inline resonators are just adding the resonators to your current unresonated testpipes. They then look identical to the resonated style. Most performance muffler shops carry these resonators. They can be purchased & added into your setup fairly cheap if you have already purchased the nonresonated pipes. If you have not yet purchased testpipes I suggest buying the resonated style to eliminate any further future hassle. If you have purchased some already & are experiencing the rasp then you can add resonators as I mentioned above......do a search on resonators & resonated testpipes. You'll run across the numerous threads, some with pictures, of what I'm describing.....best of luck
