Already did Y-Pipe and full exhaust. Will remaining parts really yield a benefit?

Default Already did Y-Pipe and full exhaust. Will remaining parts really yield a benefit?

I have now replaced the stock exhaust and Y-Pipe with the Fujistso Legalis R catback and gruppe-s y-pipe. My next step will be the hi-flo cats from Kinetix or similar.

After that will the headers really yield a worth while bang for the buck? My research here has shown that the y-pipe and the stock cats are the biggest exhaust bottleneck. With that now fixed, would my $$$ be better spent elsewhere? Say a plenum swap and eventual TS reflash versus bothering with the headers.

If given my scenario would you use your valuable funds for headers at this point or the plenum/reflash and skip the headers alltogether?

Well, for the amount of money you have to spend for installation + cost of a good header (ie: Crawford, NISMO, Stillen, ?Nexus), it is not worth it, IMO. I would use that money and get the TS flash and Plenum. That, along with what you have so far, would give you a nice noticeable performance.

Yeah, for a really good set of headers that will show some good gains, like the crawford, it is pretty expensive. It will still add gains though. Other things might be more efficient for the money right now if that is a factor.

I'd add the cats and a plenum. You will need the plenum for the intake side of the equation.

You'll come across quite a few more opinions, I'm sure.

Only other things would be test pipes and plenum.

Cams and headers are just too expensive for the HP you get you would be a pretty good way to the the cost of a FI kit and much more HP, a member here got 285 to the wheels with every NA mod available (Intake/Plenum/cats/dual exhaust/headers/cams) and I had 265 with (Intake/Plenum/y-pipe/exhaust) so the cost for 20 HP just not for me unless you want the fastest NA Z.

Thanks for the feedback. You all confirm what I was already thinking. Just wanted some validation.

Thanks again..............
