Default Kinda dumb ? about muffler...

I need to switch out my muffler. How hard is it to pull the muffler off the brackets where it hangs? Do I need to get any lube to make the job easier, and if so what is recommended? Need to know asap; thanks.

First off, if you can have a friend help holding the muffler and stuff that will help. When I took mine off, i used some wd40 or some oil, can't remember which. Also, i used pliers and put one end on the end of the metal hanger that you want to slide through the rubber hanger and put the other end on the farther side of the rubber hanger and squeezed the pliers. I had actually gotten one side out of the hanger using my hands but it took a little while and then my dad had the idea with the pliers and it took no time that way. You shouldn't have any problems.

Yeah, its a fairly heavy piece. Luckily I had my dad there to hold it up or else it would have been sitting on my head. Lol, it was also about 30 degrees outside when I put mine on, i was in the garage but it was still cold so that added some time.

tuscaloosa is a nice place by the way. I was down there a few years ago when I was playing in the college club soccer nationals tournament.

Use a large hammer and smash the muffler off! Its useless anyway........ Just kidding! I agree with those sugestions.
