Hey, USN ... this is "relentless" over on the miata.net board.

1/ You are showing Leo -- not Aquarius -- in your post above. Also, the kanji order is wrong.

2/ In your first posting ... you show symbol A (Aquarius) and symbol B (Leo).

You show this left-to-right.

To reverse this to the traditional reading top-to-down ... the left kanji is your first top kanji. Then the second and third kanji fall into place.

3/ Hope you are enjoying your MX-5. I love the Mazda Roadster ...

4/ I lurk over on this site now once in awhile ... and haven't posted in years. Just happened to click on the Japan site just to see if anybody posted - very coincdental since I rarely come here.

Just a suggestion... if you're going to get Asian characters tatted to your body, find someone who specializes in Asian character tats. I see a lot of "kanji" tatted on people and it really looks bad because there's a certain technique and style to write these characters correctly.

If you get it tatted by someone who's never written Chinese/Kanji calligraphy - it's going to look like characters written by a 5 year Asian kid.

For examples:

Good

Bad

The ones you attached were pretty bad too... I would suggest looking around more but I'm picky about this kind of stuff

Good luck.

cool. my wife uncle is coming to visit. He is a Japanese cultural professor or something of the sort. Lived in Japan for many years, I am going to see if he knows how to write it.

If not I will look for better looking symbols.
