Yeah i read the first post but how tough are these to install? Do I have to take off the damn cover on the headlights?
If not, and if easy, they are mine. I'll check back a few times today.

No you don't have to take the headlight cover off. You simply just find a good place for the ballast and everything else plugs right into the oem harness.

Question

Question about the HID setup you boght from HIDextra.....

I found that the '03 350z has two bulbs? in the housing:
High Beam – H7
Low Beam – HID-D2R

Because the low beams are HID already, could i just go buy new bulbs that are say 10k and just plug them in and expect them to work properly???

Im assuming id have to buy an all new HID kit for the h7's.

This setup is for those that don't have factory HIDs. Base models didin't have HIDs in the 03-05.

mine is a 2003 Touring 6spd. Came stock according to first owner [I'm the second owner.] (when HID lights are turned on for the first time in a while, they have to reach temperature, thus creating a transition from low to high color)..right?

Correct, so these kits are not for you. They are only for Base Model Z's with halogen headlights from factory.

I just installed a set of HID's on my wife's car and notice they are a hell of a lot brighter than the set on my Z. I heard that the bulbs wear out after a few years and lose as much as ...roughly 46%..? of their brightness? If this is true where would be a great place to buy replacement bulbs?

"Light output decreases rather significantly as the HID capsules age, something like 50% over the lifespan of the unit, IIRC. I know the light output on my GTI is down rather much in the four years we've had it, actually thinking about replacing the capsules this winter to get my light output back up."
