Default WTF, Nissan manual transmission fluid, $12 a quart?

Does the price look right?

Stopped by a dealer for Some Nissan MTF HQ 75W-85 as I plan on changing the transmission fluid @ 20,000 miles. They are $12 a quart?

my 2003 owner's manual specifies 75W-85, but i have read in 2004 owner's manual that 75W-90 can substitute. Is this retroactive?

$12 seems a little high. I ordered some online (from some Infinity dealer in Arizona) for $7.50 a quart.

Found some for $8.75 a quart, but once you add the shipping, it's like $3 cheaper than picking up from the local dealer at $12 something/quart.

Yup, it seems the 350z community is horribly split and not as friendly to new members as i thought. One forum deletes my posts and complains i should use search and 7 year old threads, and another complains i use 7 year old threads

Not trying to be a pain, just trying to work out what's going on.

your post is redundant as the thread is so old it wouldn't matter anymore.

what's not to understand?

you'll need to grow thicker skin on ANY forum. just saying

So you don't want to know how much it is several years later?

Point being, it's still available, it's still $12.49/quart unless bought online, in which case the shipping negates the saving.

Not sure why you mentioned needing thicker skin...
