Default Imediate tech support needed

well today i was planning on installing my under drive pulley and so to get to it me and a friend took of the radiator. now this in its self proved to be a mission because we had to remove the core support and had to struggle with allot of things to get it out. now when when we got to the crank pulley it wouldnt come off the crank bolt so we gave up and decided to put everything back here is where the problem comes in we get everything back to where it was hook up all teh relays to the fan connect the 2 radiator hoses bolted everything back up and i left for hme on my home i went WOT andi saw the engine temp guage climb so i emediatly let off and shut off the car after pulling tot he side. i crawled to a gass station and tried to figure out whats wrong to this point im not sure that. also my heater wasnt working either. so anyways i call a couple of people and they say it could be an air buble in the radiator. so i sat there for a while with the car on watching the guage with the radiator cap off so after a wwhile the car stopped over heating but now there is smoke comming from the engine bay and underneath the car. this only happens after the cars been on for a while. the smoke is mostlikely water being burnned off along with some coolant. any ideas why teh car is doing this? i would appreciate any input

You need to burp the system.

towards the back of the engine and near the battery side there is a line with a plastic **** that has a phyllips type screw head, turn it and run the car until all air is out and only coolant comes out, that should do it.

Well your heater works off of the radiator fluid as it fows through so if it is not working properly the heater probably wont either.

Once you get the air out and the fluid is flowing the heater should work, living in south Florida I really don't have much of a chance to try out the heater.

Well I am glad you got it worling again.

But to your intial issue that got you in this unecessary problem. You do not need to remove radiator to install pulley.

I simply used a 1/2 drive socket with xx mm socket and a long bar for leverage, since you have a buddy, I was alone, have him stand on the brakes and you use the long bar (I used old hockey stick) and it will come lose, it took 30 minutes.

even after all the effort of taking everything off i read in teh instruction it would only take like 30 some lbs of torque to get teh crank bolt off but we were putting well over 150 lb ft so i got a little scared thinking id mess something up. so wetspak you did the install from the top of teh car right. did you remove the engine comver ?? anything else that can make it eisier to install. i was actually thinking of giving it to a shop to install but if its easy id rather do it myself

thanks again

Yes, I did it from the top.

You still have toget under the car for releasing tension on the belt.

I don't know how much torque I used as I used the 4 foot long hockey stick which I still had to put some effort into, but it does come off.
