Default Steering drift to the right TSB

has anyone had this TSB done to their Z, and how long did it take the dealer? They said to bring it in tomorrow and they would do it. Do they usually have the parts for this in stock? Thanks for your help

I've had it done to my car a while ago. The dealership I originally took it to didn't have the parts on site. The work shouldn't take more than an hour and a half (depending on their work load).

When I originally tried dropping the car off, the dealership didn't believe me. So I left the car with them and they had their "technician" test drive my car. He then told me that your car is pulling really hard to the right. Duh! But I had to bring the car back because they didn't have to the parts in stock. Now the car drives as straight as can be.

By the way, what year is your car? Mine is a 2003.

yeah mine is 2003. i called the dealer yesterday, and they said bring it in and they would do it. but, i called the parts dept and asked if they have ever ordered that part (compression rod), and they said they havent ordered any yet. so i am going to make sure they have the part before i waste my time going over there.

Yeah, that's a good thing to do. Otherwise you'll be in a crapppy rental while your car sits there collecting dust.

fresno350, how many miles do you have on your car? After I got the compression rod installed, I started experiencing tire feathering after a couple thousand miles. If I can remember correctly, I got the compression rod installed at 5 or 6k miles. I then started experiencing tire feathering at 8-9k miles. Just my experience but something to watch out for.

Good luck!
