They filed this in October of 04. I implore anyone who hasn't emailed them to do so. They send you out a very easy questionaire that can be filled out online.

They just want to make money. They don't care about the consumer. They will take some money from Nissan and your tires will still wear quickly.

Of course all they want is to make money. The difference is that I will actually get some of my money back if they win, and even if I do not I'm happy to know that Nissan had to pay lawyers to deal with this.

And people wonder why medical insurance costs so much.

Huh?

So I'm supposed to just let them screw me over?

Let me guess you are a republican who believes in personal responsibility as long as it isn't a corporation or a doctor.

I've never been a part of any lawsuit in my life and I have damn good cause to be in this one. I work very hard to pay for this car and it isn't too much to ask them to deal with me at arms length.

You miss the point. This lawsuit is not going to do anything about that. All it is going to do is cost Nissan some money and cause their stock to fall. Its not going to change the 350Z or change the way dealerships work. It will, however, line the pockets of that lawyer firm.

I didn't miss the point. Any company that would screw over their customers like this deserves their stock to fall.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i would think that these tort lawyers will not make any money unless they win the case. If they do, each 350Z owner will not see much compensation. I doubt that they would make a change to the suspension, so a financial conpensation would probably be agreed. I highly doubt that it would be enough to pay for one set of tires...

What other problems have you had with your Z?(satchel) And what year is your car?
I called as you suggested and now have a file number. My Z only has 7300 miles on it.Already has the trans replaced and the tire problem...but still love the car.

As opposed to being a demacrat that wants everyone to be equally poor?

Grow up.

I want people to be treated fairly. If someone sells me a crappy product I'm not going to stand for it. I would expect that if I bought a Kia but I didn't.

Nissan replaced my tires for free (after 21k miles) and paid for a rental car for a day. They also gave me a cup of coffee. People make mistakes and so do engineers. That is what consumers must understand when purchasing a new model car.

Bringing politics into this issue like a 4-year old also doesn't advance your cause. Personally I would like Nissan to keep their money to invest in designing the next Z better. I'd rather them hire an extra engineer than keep an extra attorney on retainer.

I'm not the one who brought politics into the the issue. You might want to check the part where I got blamed for the high health insurance costs just because I want Nissan to fix my car.

Oh and if I got 21k miles out of my tires I wouldn't have even asked then to replace them. As it stands I'm lucky to get 4 or 5 before the vibration starts. I even paid 1.7k for their gold preferred warranty so I think this is complete ********. I will never buy a Nissan again so them designing it better doesn't help my cause.

WOW. That's pretty harsh. I repsect your opinion, though.

I personally have owned many a Nissan car. I have been impressed by the way that Nissan had taken care of any issue that I had. I can think of 3 occasions from 1988 to 1992 where Nissan paid for repairs on my out of warranty car with little or no fuss.

I had a problem with someone at Bankston Nissan (Irving) where the new car sales manager tried to screw me out of about $8K. I wrote a letter to Nissan Corporate, someone from the VP's office called me and they found the very 350Z I am driving when others still had a 3 month wait.

Nevertheless, my experience is not your experience. I just want readers to see that there is ALWAYS good and bad with every car & manufacturer. Nissan has done a lot to earn my business. In fact, my family has been driving Nissan/Datsun cars since 1973.

That being said, I have had plenty of problems with individual dealerships. Corporate really LOVES to hear about those problems. Both the sales manager and the salesman I was dealing with (when trying to buy my Z) were fired. I hope this helps you.

Nevermind all the sales people and mangers.... This does not say that i or you will get $$ from this law firm if they win. it says that it would help them win if you fill this out.

They are legally bound to disperse the funds if we win. Whether or not they do or how susbtantial the amount remains to be seen, but seeing how these people have yet to completely screw me over, I'll take my chances with them.

I think you have to file a claim, but not certain if it has to be before the decision is rendered.

Nissan is a great company with great cars. It's one thing to talk down about their cars, but I highly doubt you have any right to judge the first guy because of his political views. If you like cars and are willing to post here, why not make it friendly?

If you decide to answer the questions on that site then be my guest but I also highly doubt that much compensation will come out of it even if they manage to win. I wouldn't want Nissan to have to announce that theres a lemon, or that they have to provide free maintenance to everyone who bought Z's, affected or not. (sounds like Mazda lol)

As I mentioned earlier, Nissan is a good company and they made a nice car. Sure it sucks to have feathered tires, but what are you going to do after they win? (if they do).

IMO, its not worth it, but everyone has their own opinion, so best of luck with that thing I guess. Happy posting.

I don't see how the value could possibly go down more than the cost of the tires. In fact it might make it go up. I would feel like a crook selling someone this car without disclosing that info. I'm not out for a free ride. I only want them to stand by their product which they have done an EXTREMELY poor job in doing. If they have now fixed the problem in the 05's they need to take care of us 03 owners. I've already blown through 6 sets of tires and this is completely unacceptable. I will never buy another Nissan again and think they are a **** company.
