I already typed a huge post up and got an error on the page so this is the summary version!
-Car was in a hit & run accident, hood, front bumper are done for, passenger side headlight house demolished, rims scraped up, parts dividing front bumper and engine bay cracked (area where the pole that holds the hood up).
-Do i have to replace the broken parts with OEM parts? If the OEM painted front bumper is the same price/cheaper as/than than the carbon creations Nismo style CF front bumper, id rather get the CF one, is there any problem with this? Same deal with the hood, would rather get a Seibon TS hood if its in the same price range. My insurance company told me i can use any repair shop i want.
-From what i understand the insurnace company sends a guy out to assess the damage and give me a quote of what i can spend. I go get estimates of repair from shops and compare them with the insurance company's original estimate. Basically my parents are worried that they are going to front me money to buy the bumper & hood and then the insurance company will not reimburse them because they are going to have a problem with the non-oem equipment.
Thanks guys.

Who is your insurance company? The way it worked for me and 21st century is that they will cover any cost of OEM equipment on your estimate. If the parts you end up getting cost more, you are responsible, anything less, you get a credit.
Hope this helps. Make sure you get a shop that will work with the insurance company. Mossy collision in Escondido did all of this for me.
