Stolen Wheels - Need Advice
Been a while since ive been here guess my edit to delete didnt work...Looking for some advice here. All 4 of my wheels were stolen last night and my car remains on blocks. Has anyone been through this process? Should I just go buy 4 new 18" rims from Nissan tomorrow and keep the receipts for insurance? How could the car be towed without wheels? What options do I have there? I've never been through this before and its in an apartment complex parking lot. Yes I know, not the ideal location, but it is what it is. Just looking for advice on how to proceed. I have a police report, and called the insurance company (no help really), and of course the adjuster cant come out until Tuesday, because of the holiday weekend. Just trying to figure out my options here. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I don't recommend buying new wheels til you settle. I think they are EXPENSIVE from the dealers. Prob better off searchin on the forums. Did they break the locks? As far as insurance adjusters, USAA is good. Progressive is very responsive too. I think they even "cut checks" on the spot. After this I suggest you change companys.
I wrecked my wife's van on the base. It was the other persons fault so they contested. My company payed me for the repairs less my deductible. They collected it from the other person's company and sent it to me about eight months later. Collecting all from their company. Less than $2000 a year for three cars.

Stupid me didn't have locks. I was actually going to get them yesterday but my plans didnt allow me time to get to the dealer unfortunately. Go figure. Haven't had problems before and then they just take them. I know the dealers will be expensive, especially for new wheels and tires, but I do need them fast.
Is aftermarket a good idea at this point? I just dont want the car sitting there on blocks for a week is the problem.

i've got my stocks in the garage i'd loan you - too bad you are states away. Maybe somebody local can let you ride on theirs for a bit.

IIRC the OEM Performance/Touring wheels are very expensive from the dealer (I think over $1K ea.). I would get the Ins. Co. to cut you a check to have them replaced and then use the money for aftermarket wheels/tires.
