Default anyone had a problem like this?

i changed the front brakes on my Z with no problem at all. Quick and easy. Today I did the front brakes and rotors on my girl's Chevy Malibu, and i thought everything went ok, but when i finished up and took it out for a ride both sides of the car were making a noise as though there was a rock in the tire (if that makes sense), like a da-da-da-da-da type noise. Also the outside of the corner of the rotor was wearing down (which i think would be abnormal to see wear in the rotors this quick. I took off one of the wheels and pads and couldnt see the rotor hitting anything and reinstalled the pads and i still had the problem. Im nervous to have her drive now, even though the car seemed to stop fine. Anyone have any ideas, any help ASAP would be appreciated.
