Default rear wiper problem

Anyone ever turn on the rear wiper only to see it extend past the glass and onto the rear hatch? Just happened to me this morning and am wondering if anyone else has had this happen. Would like to get info on the fix is you have it. Thanks in advance.

I don't have that problem, but I have another with the rear wiper. I've changed wipers 2 times now and have experienced this with all 3 sets (stock, Cdn Tire teflon, and another premium one I can't remember). I would expect this after a wiper is aged a bit (maybe a few months), but with the 2 new sets, it started happening almost right away.

After a few passes, the wipers start catching the glass (like there's way too much friction). When the window's wet, the first few passes are fine, but after the initial water is removed, the problem starts. My band-aid fix is to turn them off and then back on again when there's enough water for 1 or 2 wipes and then off again. Anybody know what causes this? and how I can fix it. I haven't been into the dealer about it yet (& I'm not expecting much from them), so I thought I'd check here.

I had a simular problem a couple months back. Do a search on my name and you will find my fix. Basically I need to tighted the nut under the wiper cover which is extremly easy to remove.
