for the last few days, ive noticed my drivers window would roll up and then roll back down about 6 inches, and finally roll up. well today i rolled it down and it was REAL slow. then it wouldnt go up. any suggestions, i searched and didnt find much. motor gone bad?

 

Take it to the dealer. There's a tsb on this problem. You'll have to take it in at least twice! I had mine in 3 times for this problem. It's now fixed.

 

how long of a process this at a dealer? can i wait on the car or get a rental?

 

arrghhh, I just had my drivers side window do this to me this afternoon. I kept rolling it up and the damn thing would roll down about 4 or so inches. Everytime. I finally turned the car off, removed the key, opened the door, put the key back in and put in on position, then rolled up the window and it stayed. How freakin annoying. My window motor on the same door died a couple of months ago just out of the blue! Last time the repairs were close to a grand but luckily I had warranty, now I got 3k left on my warranty and this crap is starting again. ugh.

 

had the same problem at 15,000 miles! ...its the window motor/regulator. tell the dealership thsi is a common problem they shoudl be able to test the motor/regualtor and repalce it in the same day unless they have to order the parts. its covered under warranty.
