Front tires
I own a 2003 Z. When the letter came stating that I could get my tires replaced I took the car into the dealer to be told that there was nothing wrong. I had been very vigilant about keeping my tires inflated properly etc. Now
My tires are making a ridiculous amount of noise. I have only 14000 miles on the car. The dealer said that since February was my deadline they could not replace the tires. I called Nissan to plead my case but after two weeks time I was told that they would not authorize the repair. Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks,
Rene

if you have 14000 miles that is about half of their life. so in that sense, worst case scenario is thats not all that bad even if you have to spend all of the money to replace them. i know thats not what you want to hear.
second, i thought there was some section of that TSB for 03's that accounted for tires that were either over the mileage or older than the two year date. something that prorates how much nissan will reimburse.
lastly if that fails, you can get some more wear out of the tires and maybe quiet them down a little by taking the car to a local tire shop with a hunter machine, get the fronts flopped from inside/out, and get the alignment re-done according to the latest specs. .1 total toe in, double check that though. it will still cost you but only 50-75 bucks. an algnment should be between 30-40 bucks and the tire swap should be about the same.
good luck.
