Ok im currently on my third transmission and the feeling i get when the transmission goes up is heart sinking. The gears get loose and you are able to go into gears without using clutch pedal and everything is clunky or "sandy" as i put it.
Well about once a month i have nightmares about my transmission going up again. I just had one last night. The dream consisted of me driving my car and as i shifted from 3rd to 4th i noticed it was like shifing through air and then as i toggled the shifter around, i noticed a sandy feeling and thats when the horrified thought of my transmission going bad hit me. Its one of the worste type of nightmares i can have. I have others where i go to jail for life or i get stranded on a desert island but none quite have the shocking effect as the broken transmission nightmare. Its one of my greatest fears with my car right now because it just happens without warning and without cause.

I doubt anyone else is as afraid of there tranny going up as i am or at least as paranoid as me.
