I've been doing some research on common problems with the Z... i plan to purchase one in a week or so after i sell my current car. It seems that most of the issues are occuring in touring/enthusiast editions. Do any track edition owners have similar problems? Is the window streak/tire feathering/tranny grind the only issues with the car? Are there other things that I should worry about? If you guys would fill me in it'd be greatly appreciated!

 

I had the window streak and feathering on my 03 track, but the dealer fixed both w/ no questions asked.

 

Only other issue I have had was a clicking coming from the rear. Normally during 1-2, 2-3 shifts.. Dealer knew from description and ordered parts before bringing car in. Nothing has re-occured or new has appeared..

 

Most of these issues have nothing to do with what model the car is. Can you give an example of an issue that affects a Touring model that doesn't affect the Track model?

Track vs. Touring .. Minor seat wear on the cloth seats.. Not sure that I have seen the same issue w/ the leather.

 

The reason you might see more issues with Enthusiast/Touring models than Track is that there are more of those models on the road, it's simple numbers, not a difference in build quality.

 

I have an 03 track and I have every single problem.

though the dealer fixed...most.. of them without too much of a fight.
