Aluminum steering wheel covers
Is anyone experiencing the Aluminum covers peeling from the normal wear and tear. It seems like I can just use my nail to peel the rest but would take forever. Anyone use any cleaner or thinner to simply remove the film over the aluminum since mines are looking like crap now.

I need to find out what will clean it or remove that film completely. Mine's is also more on the left side but now the right side is starting to look the same.

If it's really aluminum, then exposure to air almost instantaneously makes aluminum oxide, which is significantly harder than aluminum.
Basically, aluminum makes it's own protection.

Aluminum Oxide (rust) would also be a black/grey color and would come off as you rub it (only to be replaced by more). If you go with real aluminum (in any application), get it clear anodized for protection.
