Tires and Wheels
I only have 1,500 miles on my touring model. I haven't noticed any alignment or tire wear problems. You guys don't know how lucky you are to own a non-exotic car. I just sold my Ferrari for a new Z car. When it cost $300.00 for an oil change, and $5,000 for cam belt changes, these minor tire wear problems are a minor complaint to me!
However, I've always hated how the tires and wheels hide so far in the fender wells on the Z. So I ordered a pair of 1" spacers from Spencer Racing. I put them on the front and rear wheels. Now the wheels are flush with the fender wells. The car looks much more agressive, and with 2" wider track, the car handles better than my Ferrari ever did. These are professionally made spacers, not like the cheap things you get from Kragens, so they are safe, and don't affect alignment.

I had tire feathering at around 5000 miles on my Performance model. The dealer had to replace both from tires and determined that the alignment was off from the factory, kind of hard to believe.
Marcus, can we see some pics of how it looks with the spacers? Was it a custom order and how much $$? Even if the alignment is fine (no need to change the camber?), I thought the suspension geometry may be affected negatively. Pushing the wheels outward would misalign the suspension parts in relation to the wheel (as opposed to using a wider wheel that will increase the width but retain the same centerline). I'm not an expert at this, so please clarify this for me since it seems you have no problems with this change.

Droid, don't feel bad man! I searched the internet and talked with coworkers and local racing shops for a week to find out what this thing was and what might cause it. Trouble is, it's not classical feathering either.
