Default Steering Problem

Got in my car to go to Starbucks before work and it seemed like the steering wheel was turning a lot easier than usual and I was having to turn the wheel more to make turns. I only have 10k on my 03. Any idea what the problem could be?

Greasy tires ?
Slippery asphalt ?

As fare as I know, we don't have variable ratio steering racks. Power steering pump and control might be faulty, giving you full assist all the time ?

Don't think that it had anything to do with the tires or asphault. Problem is still there after several drives. I wonder if my car is still under warranty being an 03?

Took the car to the dealer yesterday for an appointment I had made in regards to tire feathering and had them check the steering while it was in. The found nothing wrong with the steering. So either it is in my head, or it is something that possibly isn't broken but not working correctly?? On the plus side I'm taking the car back in Thursday for alignment and new front tires. The serviceman I worked with was very professional, a relief from some of the horror stories I've read about on the board. He told me that if I continued to have problems with the steering to bring it back in. Maybe the alignment and new tires will help with the steering feel.

I remember my options stating that my Z has speed assisted steering. What ever that is! It is an 03 touring.

Does this happen only after going to Starbucks? Try decaf.

LOL! Must have just been that extra shot of espresso! I guess it was just in my head. I on a brighter note I had the car back at the dealer yesterday. Full alignment and a new set of front tires. I can't believe what a difference it has made. I don't cringe every time I slow down now and the ride at speed is night and day.
