Problem with Engine Missing/Hesitation on 2005
Hi,
I have a 2005 Touring Coupe with a automatic transmission with 4k miles on it. I am having a problem with the engine missing or slightly hesitating at exactly 3800 rpm in 3rd gear while driving in the manumatic mode(changing gears). In the fully automatic mode the car accelerates normally I do not feel a pause at 3800 rpm. I have noticed this a few times in 2nd gear also at exactly 3800rpm when changing gears. Every time I change gears and accelerate slowly you can feel a pause of engine power at 3800rpm in 3rd gear. I will be taking the car to the dealer, but I wanted to see if any of you guys have ever heard of this happening or know what could be causing this problem.
Thanks for any help

I have had the same issue with my 2003 manual Touring model. It occurs at about 4000 rpms. I'm dropping it off at the shop today and they are taking a look at it. Hopefully it will be covered under my extended warranty. As soon as they call me to let me know what they think the problem is I will post an update. If you find out first post back here so if my mechanic can't decipher what is going on I can give him some idea of what to look for. Thanks!
It was my air flow meter causing the problem and its covered under normal warranty for vehicles under 36,000 miles. So its taken care of. I hope that your issue can also be repaired at no cost. Good luck!
