I was just wondering if anyone has heard a leaking sound under the car that lasts for about 1-2 seconds, goes away for about 1-2 seconds and then comes back again. I notice the noise in idle with the driver side door open. Would love any kind of feedback, thanks.

 

I hear something similar even with the door closed if I am sitting at idle with no noise in the car it sounds like it is coming from the area right behind me, I breifly described it to the dealer and without checking (I was in a hurry) they thought it might be the sound of the fuel pumps???? I don't know just a thought.

 

I have the same problem, if you listen outside the car near the rear wheels, its even louder, I here hissing of air or static and a high pitch whine, even when idle.

Did you overfill your tank ever? By that I mean, did you fill past the gas pumps first click? I have the same problem and the dealer said it was normal. I also herd that the charcol cannister can be overfilled with gas and can cause problems.

 

I have overfilled my tank before, do you really think that is the reason for the leaking noise? I dont think that is why everyone is getting that leaking noise. I can remember that noise every since I first got the car.
