Default Fixed rear sqeeking

I had a loud squeeking noise coming from the rear of my car. While driving over light bumps, the hatch area would make loud squeeks. This is a common problem and I have spent countless hours trying to locate it. The dealer could not find the source of the squeeks and told me it is a common problem. This how you fix it. Pop the hatch and pound the plastic trim around the window with your fists. The panel is held on by v-shaped clips and they get loose over time. My hatch panel was noticeably loose and several clips were out. Hope this helps.

You can also check the two spring loaded ***** on the sides which are installed on the hatch .... check if they align to the small dot on the body. On mine one was cocked to the left and made the hatch lopsided. Now no rattling/squeeking.
