Default Manual Transmission Fluid Opinions

I did some searching on different Z forums to get an idea on what fluid is best overall. As many of you know the manual tranny takes 75W-85 GL-4 in the tranny and 80W-90 GL-5 in the differential.

The differential fluid seems to be very available and easy to find. Many have switched to synthetic.

Now the transmission is tricky. Most have gone with 75W-90. The impression I got is that the Nissan fluid (999MP-MTF00P) shifts the smoothest overall compared to many of the synthetics (amsoil, royal purple, redline, etc.) Would I be correct to say that the OEM Nissan fluid, because of it's special weight, produces the best results in the Z vs. other brands?

Please provide your experience or opions.

That Nissan trans fluid might be good stuff and Nissan wants you to know it too! I paid $16.29 per quart for it. Seems like a rip off to me. Oh well its done now.
