Spots on inside of plastic headlight encloseure
Hey guys- The last couple times I've washed my car I've noticed there seems to be spots forming on the inside of the plastic headlight encloseure. There is no water leaking in the headlight, it looks like some kind of light film is forming. Any ideas what is causing this, and if so any possible fixes?
Thanks

Jason,
I have the same thing happenning on my 05 35th. My car has 3300 miles on it and I have only driven at night 3 times maybe 3-4 hours total time with the heads lights on. I'm not sure what to think.

The headlight housing is not airtight. I know this because I've seen a live ant walking around in mine. This film could be caused by dust getting into the headlight housing. Sorry to say this but, I don't think there is anything you can do to get the film out.

My car is an 03, bought it only has 11000 miles on it. I suppose I could take it to the dealership and see about it getting them replaced under warrenty. I was not sure it would be something that would be covered by a warrenty. Thanks for the tips guys!

Component: BODY: HEAD LAMPS
Summary: HEADLAMP FOGGING
The problem is if they take the headlights apart, and put fingerprints inside, then you've solved nothing.
