Default Dealership... - need advice

Today I went to the my dealer for 7500 miles service. I told them I have been experiencing some problems with my clutch (squeaking noises when I release my clutch pedal).

When I came back to pick up my car they asked me if I had done some work with my clutch cause the clutch seems not original - that some work has been done to it and the bolts are painted...

I told the service manager that I bought a new car 6 months ago from a different dealership and as far as I know there was nothing done to it! He then went to the Nissan vehicle (service) database and said that nothing uder warranty was done to it. He said that it is kind of fishy and I should call the place where I have purchased my car.

So I call the dealership (where I got my car) talked with the sales manager and explained him the whole situation. He said he would investigate it and give me a call back. He called me back like 15 minutes later and said that there was nothing they did to my clutch.

As you see that incident sucks. What do you think I should do?

did sb. just moved this thread?

My servicing dealer said I should take a look at this - because there was sth. done to my car and there is no proof of such work in their computer.

I just want to be sure that I bought a new car... that nothing was wrong with it.

I guess I will call Nissan customer service.

Try taking it to a different dealer and see what they say. IMO, if they can't prove that anythings done to it, they should fix it. They can't just refuse to fix your car base on "suspicion" that its been modified. Fishy or not, I'll make them prove it. We live in America damn it. Keep us up to date on what happens and good luck bro.

No, they did not refuse me!
He just told me it is fishy cause it looks like they did some work on my car and there is no proof in the nissan database. So why would they do sth on my car and not claim it with Nissan... if they dont claim it they dont get paid. I bought a NEW car (withe less then 200 miles), but it looks like they did some clutch job... that they did not inform me! I just want to be sure I bought a new car and that there was nothing wrong with it when i was buying it!

Since you bought your car from a dealer I would just tell the service guys that you bought this car w/ 200 miles and have not touched the clutch. They shouldn't be hassling you.

Most dealers are pretty cool about fixing little things if you're still <12k miles. If this dealer is hassling you, try another. It should be a warranty item so they really shouldn't care.
