Default Guess what? Feathering is a REAL issue NNA knows about...

Affects "some" cars, but not "all" cars. Could be out of spec FSU components or bad factory alignment (I doubt the latter because I had mine checked on my dime and it was within factory spec.)

I've got an appointment in the next two weeks to leave my car with the dealer so that they can talk to Nissan Tech and run through a series of checks and balances based on what Nissan does know about this recurring problem. Simply getting new front tires and a free alignment from your dealer DOES NOT mean you are in the clear. FSU parts out of spec have to be replaced.

I'll follow up once I've had the car in the shop and find out what exactly the culprit(s) could be.

Awesome info Brad and it's good to know that NNA is aware of the problem.

Brad,

My tires are feathered pretty severely. I have 5600 miles on my car. I have pointed it out to my dealer, who kind of brushed it off as common for a sports car. I am going back in tomorrow for some other work, is there a bulletin that the dealers will have received?

Thanks for you effort on this issue.

Droidekaus,

Please keep us posted. I'm still trying to decide whether to buy a Z or not. My main concern is this whole tire feathering problem. Thanks in advance for any further info on this.
