lets see. first off the car is 3years old and ohhh about 3 days.

intermitently the brake light will stay on when driving, despite it being very much off. it ussually goes away.

intermitently the VDC off and SLIP light will stay on after starting the car, they will stay on as long as the car is running. the VDC button does nothing, and a little gas in first gear said VDC is indeed, off.

for the first time in 3 years Im getting a grind as if the clutch isnt pushed in when going into 3rd gear. its happened about 3 times in the past 3 years, and about 20 times in the past 2 weeks...

anyway, could this be due to brakes, clutch, or tranny? or an electrical problem and tranny? I think I might need new brakes and a new clutch, just not sure if this could be the way it would signal it, if it can signal it at all.

car only has 22000miles BTW.

 

from what i've read on these boards, that's about the mileage time when some of the '03 6MT trannies show their signs for TSB fixing. I believe it's some fault on a part in the '03 transmissions, engineered improperly; find the TSB, it's out there!!!

 

Im thinking that your brakes need new pads.. OR close too... Check to see how low your brake fluid is, if its low its time...
