Default Throttle Body Recalibration Required?

I recently cleaned out my throttle body and plate which required me to manually move the throttle plate. I have felt a difference in RPM's, but this could be attributed to a cleaner throttle body. Could the RPM's be off if I didn't recalibrate?

Yes, you probably need to recalibrate it. Nissan warns against touching the throttle plate. Here's the "relearning" sequence from the service manual:

Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning ABS009AT
DESCRIPTION
Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning is an operation to learn the fully closed position of the throttle valve by monitoring the throttle position sensor output signal. It must be performed each time harness connector of electric throttle control actuator or ECM is disconnected.
OPERATION PROCEDURE
1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
Make sure that throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound.

So pretty much all you have to do is turn the key to on and then to off? Thats all you have to do to reclibrate? I'm sure I've probably done that accidentally from taking out a CD.

Reving higher, especially when first starting the car.
