Hey guys, any help would be greatly appreciated. I already did a search and didn't find much. Anyways, lately my clutch pedal has been really squeaky. As soon as I press it or release it, it sounds like a door creaking. I'm pretty sure that it's the pedal...any ideas on what is causing the squeak or how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Last time mine was in at the dealership I got them to check it out, and of course it didn't squeak for them...it doesn't always do it. I tried explaining to the guys up there the sound it made, and one of them told me I could spray WD40 up where the pedal is connected and then another guy up there told me that I shouldn't do that. So I don't know what to do, but it's driving me crazy.

squeek is coming from engine compartment. I've trouble shot it that far, but haven't had time nor concern enough to pinpoint origin. Clutch pedal has level that goes through firewall, then connects to manual tranny. There will be a point where a movable level goes into the tranny. This is more than likely where problem lies. I have a 97 Eclipse that has same type of setup, but doesn't make the noise though.

Mine used to do this, i took it to my dealer and told them and they Lubricated the rubber bushing in the clutch. They said it will need to be lubricated every once in a while to not make that noise. Its been 12k miles since then and still no noise. I have a total of 46k miles on the car. Ur dealers must be idiots?? hah j/k

To be quite honest i really don't remember but i don't think it was much. Maybe like 15 bucks? It was added to my oil change price. I was getting the rear clicking noise fixed under the tsb and told them to change the oil while they're at it. Btw im not sure if its exactly called a "rubber bushing" i was just trying to remember what the service tech told me. They should be able to figuer it out though if u tell them that. I cant believe your dealers didn't know to do that, i described the noise to mine and he was like oh thats an easy fix its blah blah rubber bushing, and it hasn't squeeked since.
