Toe-in off 41 degrees !!!
FYI
Took my car in for a check up this morning because of the front tires feathering and chomping and my visor rattle. Bad news on both. My passenger visor needs replaced and the part was ordered. The real bad news was that the toe-in was off 41 degrees. Dougrace zs has his in yesterday and it was off 25 degrees. Another 350Z owner’s had theirs checked today and his was off 24 degrees (I think). I called 1-800-Nissan1 and told them of the situation and suggested they get me some new tires. They are calling the dealership Monday to get the specifics and then they will give the yey or nay on the new tires. The lady at Nissan was super nice and said she will try her hardest to get me some new tires. The service manager already made the call looking for tires for us all. . . .guess what there are none in the US. So it could take between 2 weeks and 2 months for new tires. We all have the 17” wheels.
For all of you that even suspect this, please get it checked out. Just so you know all our vins are significantly different even for the fact that we have had our cars a while. The more of us that are out there the better our chances of getting some new tires. The inside of my front tires looked pretty bad.

Here's a thought...
You don't want the shitty RE040 replacements. How about asking Nissan to just cut you a check for the amount they'd spend on the replacements so that you can apply that to a full set of the tires of your choice.

Nope that is what they told me. I dont think 41 degrees means much to me other than it was much more off than Doug's and Don's.
In general, to-in should be 0mm but the nominal distance off is 1 mm (.004 in) and the maximum distance off is 2 mm (.008 inch) per service manual.
If I understand what I was told that means mine was off .41 or nearly a half inch out. In other words driving down the road the car's front tires look like this /-------\

Hell Yes!! That would work too! 7K miles and the back tires are half gone too. (Now how can I get Nissan to replace those)

I had only 1/16" before the wear bars on my rears at 7100 miles.

Dude, I replaced mine at 7100 miles and let me tell you that you DO NOT want new, sticky fronts coupled with almost gone rears. Talk about upsetting the car...

That will allow more time for other tire manufacturers to make our exact size (or something close).

My 2 new front tire are in and will be installed on Monday. I hate to have them out of synch with the rears but free tires are free tires. Hopefully the front end alignment will fix tire problem.

41 degrees??? Experts correct me if I'm wrong, but degrees don't map to length, like inches & mm. I've been working on cars as a hobby for a while, & I've never heard this. I've always seen it as a measurement, as in the difference between the center of the tire in front of it then in back of it....

Come on NNA let me have'em too
No one is taking blame yet, but NNA is talking care of the problem. We suspect that is a factory problem because if it happened when they tied them down on the boat or truck it would have knocked the steering wheel off center. All our are dead on.
From what I have heard, I had an easier time wth NNA when I called versus the others. The lady was real nice and was even more excted to get the problem taken care of after she made the comment about how low my vin was.

OK I am tired of beng second guessed. I called and ask about the 41 degree thing. It is a computer measurement from the alignment machine. 41 degrees out of spec means 41 times the nominal (1mm) range. Thus mine was out 41mm. If it does not sound like much, you should see my tires. They were wearng so fast the noise has started to go away. Major out of spec! It does not matter now. New tires are ordered per NNA for all of us who complained from our service dept (4 so far). Still going to work on rears now

Did you take it to Hippodrome?
My car only has 900 some odd miles, so I don't have tire damage noticable yet. It does have a slight but noticable pull, so that me be the excuse I need to get it on the machine to look at it.
