Default Service Engine Soon light on.

Tried the gas cap thing but it hasn't worked. Since I had my Sirius Satelite Radio installed and my Radar Detector hot wired, the light has been on. Anyone know the fix?

Default It will go off

Had the same thing happen when they hardwired my passport 8500 in. When they say a few trips they mean it. It took about four days for me. I wouldn't worry about until after a week.

my light came on on Tuesday, talked to my salesman, he told me it will take about 4-5 engine start to reset it. It is caused by gas cap not tight enough. So I waited and waited, still no go. Went to the dealer today, and the service manager tole me it takes about 22-23 starts to reset it... so I think maybe about a week?

anyway, they just reset it for me since I was there already.

no big deal..

Same thing happened to me. I tightened the gas cap and the light went out 2 days later. The manual says it takes 4-5 car trips after tightening the gas cap.
