Default 02 sensor

Not sure which forum this should go under ............

so I got an SES last week and im close to 50,000 miles. i installed the NISMO CAI about 3 months ago. I tried resetting the ECU a few times with no luck so I took a guess and replaced the spark plugs. when i had everything torn apart I decided to double check the CAI. Well the plug that is in the lower portion of the intake was missing I wrapped tape (duct & elecrical) around the tube to cover the hole. I figured the maf was just reading too much air. And that seemed to fix it for a week and a half. Well driving home yesterday the damn SES light came on again. I had the code read at Autozone (which i should have done the first time) and it came up P0037, heated oxygen sensor 2 (bank 1). So at least I have located the problem, but now does anyone know if this is still covered under the 96 months / 80,000 miles - Federal Emission Long Term Defect warranty? or should i just buy the sensor and replace it myself. oh and is that pretty easy?

thanks for the help -Matt
