Well.. it happened again.. my first fill up since going to the dealer.
Only about 8 gallons. I tried different angles, pulling the nozzle out, etc and nothin more...
Back to the dealer.

I had my flutter valve replaced a few months ago. I can now fill the tank up but the needle is hugely inaccurate. It never registers quite full, the first half goes fast, the scond half takes forever to go down. I took it to the dealer for a scheduled oil change and had them look at it. They felt it is a bad sending unit but want me come back when I have a full tank of gas as it is easier to diagnose at that point.

No, nothing replaced.. I am pissed. Since it's happening every other time, I'll refill this weekend. Then I'll take it up there next week and ask them to fill the tank in front of me. If it doesn't do it that time, I'm gonna start carrying a video camera...

Have you tried different pumps? Did that work? Did going to a different station work?
Most gas stations aren't anxious to sell you less gas so they keep their pumps in pretty good condition.

I got tired of having to baby the pump nozzle just to feed my 2004 roadster. I took it into the dealer last week, while they couldn't duplicate the problem (they only put in 5 gallons) they went ahead and offered to do the TSB repair as an act of "customer good faith." Part came in last Friday, my car is at the dealer's as we speak. They are also replacing my soft top seals around the side windows as I was getting slight leaks while washing the car.

Just picked up my car after having the TSB work done regarding the fuel fill issue. The gas gauge was reading below quarter tank so I went to fill it up. I got in 8 gallons and the pump shut off. Tried again, no avail. And again, even turning the pump nozzle to a 45 degree angle...nope. I had 67 miles left DTE and now my gauge reads just over half full.
Crap.
Crap.
